Looking at the ground, the femme aussie kept to herself occocasionaly humming to herself. Her fur was shining as well as her eyes. The only thing muddie was her paws after walking through a giant mud spot in the grasslands.
Sucking in her breath at the sight of the shatterd grass, the pretty femme named Rose looked at her reflection. As if seeing towards the inside of her, it showed someone full of hope but easiely hurt. A dog that tended to not show her true colors exept among friends.
"It's a wonder the mirrors don't shatter..." Giggling nervously she cleared away some glass to find a small spot that had a large sheet left of it. Laying on the large piece it felt akward even wrong that it still had remained whole.
Sighing she thought to herself, "One would wonder if anything would take back time. Just once to see what it was like." Closing her amber eyes, she walked up to the front of the mess. Staring at a large skyscraper that seemed to touch the clouds. Inside women and men in fancy suits walked around with an important air. Walking through the doors, in her imagination phones were ringing or was that the elevators.
The people seemed to pour in and out some with headsets that served with cell phones other with blackberrys typing rapidly. The image soon faded leaving the screams and shattered glass behind and some fake flames. Sighing she licked her paws nervously.

~*Come see the other side of the fence*~
Gantz strolled along the streets of the charred city, the somewhat melted tar sticking to his paw pads and refusing to get off. It was hot, even though it was close to sunset, and the blacktop hurt his paws like nothing else. Every step he took burned them like a match, even with some fur protecting them. He sighed, and looked around the street, trying to find a place where he could sleep. None of the houses looked very inviting to the small dog, more like they wouldn't stand for much longer. He had been walking all day along this street, and had seen not one house of interest.
He walked a little further, then saw it. The perfect spot. He loped over to it, the sunlight dancing off its glass walls like fireworks on the Fourth of July. It all seemed rather inviting, even though the glass mirrors were blackened and charred heavily from the great fire no one had expected. It still looked stable enough, and seemed like a nice place to spend he night.
Legs sore, and paws burnt, Gantz carefully walked in, not wanting to guive even more injury to his already hurt paws. Glass littered the ground everywhere, and he had to watch his every move to make sure he didn't step on a peice, cutting himself in the act.
As soon as he was free from the doorway, Gantz took a nice long look at his resting place. Although very exposed, and very carnivel-like, it had a very homey feel to it. He took a wander to a clear mirror, and admired himself foolishly. He knew he shouldn't, but it felt good to be slightly vain every once in a while. He tossed his white cresent over to the other side of his neck, then back again, and then wagged his long, feathery tail. He looked at himself happily, and barked at the reflection dog playfully. He would have talked to it, but he heard another sound. The voice of another dog.
Instantly, Gantz felt shy, it smelled like a girl dog, and he was not one for the ladies. Nevertheless, he trotted over to the sound, sniffing every so often to catch her scent. He didn't know why he walked towards her, and not away, but he guessed he might have just wanted a little company. He was not a very loner type dog, much prefering to be with one other dog and sharing everything with him.
He trotted up the glass stairs, and found her, licking her paw uncertainly, like she had just experinaced something awful, or had a thought that brung back bad memories. Not wanting to intrude, and definatly not wanting to seem rude, Gatnz trotted over to her, keeping his distance, and barked a happy, "Hi!". He was a friendly dog by nature, and didn't like to see anyone with an odd face licking their paw. He sat down, decideding that, if she wanted to, she could come closer and answer him.

Startled, she jumped up causing a small part of the mirror to shatter. Laughing slightly, the mirror made her eyes appear in about three different places. Moving the pieces iwth her paws, she stifled a laugh yet again as a picture of white fluff entered the mirror causing her to jump seeing Gantz forgeting that he was there.
Staring at the hairless dog, she decided he was nice enough but to her every dog needed some hair. Stifling a giggle she swallowed it as not to appear rude. Brutes never had caught her fancy but a friend in this cruel city would help much more than going solo.
"Hi, may i assume you reside in the west." Being formal was something Rose had been taught early in her puppy years fore it made a good impression. Shaking her head of the thing her mother had told her, Rose looked at the hairless dog yet again decieding she could take him if he tried anything.
Standing up, she looked at the large sheet and shattered it with her paw so it fit into it's surroundings. This also made an image of her self fly everywhere among the glass shards. Decieding that that would do it she looked at Gantz, "Excuse me being too formal, wasn't sure who you were but you seemed to relaxed to be that caring about formality. I'm Rose, what may i ask is your name?"

Gantz cringed slightly, take a paw off the ground as the glass broke. He hadn't meant to startle her, but instead of yelling, she laughed. This relaxed the Crested slightly, she could laugh easily, and usually that meant the dog was nice. He smiled, flashing rows of pearly white teeth. He did not want to seem even a little threatening to her, even if it meant anything. He wagged his tail, and answered,
"I am Gantz, from West Pack, Rose. That's a very pretty name your parents bestowed on you, Sheperd. Rose. And quite contrair, for in fact,"
He took a slight bow, keeping one of his front legs straight, one turned towards his tail, crouching under him. Bowing always got rid of any and all uncertain feelings the other had towards him. He got up, and grinned again, looking directly into her eyes, and finished.
"..I can be formal too." He chuckled to himself, and took a more inviting position, laying down at a spot where he found no glass. After smiling once more at her and once his tail began to wag like it normaly did, he looked at her, and asked. "I suppose you are from West pack too?" He streched out, yawned contentivly, then reverted all attention back on Rose.

"I believe so, Akio has been gone for a very long time. I don't know how long i can stay here without getting too edgy." Looking at Gantz she had begun to get acustomed to the hairless dog and tilted her head to the side.
"Thanks, my Mother loved the name, she used the word Contrair alot." A look of mixed happieness and pain showed in her eyes but it ws thrown away as a fake look of happieness filled it's place. Her fur was slightly more straggly and her eyes didn't have the shine they did but there was sometihng trying to reapear to the surface, merely subdued by the pain she went through daily.
"So Gantz, how long have you been in the West Pack? I've only been here the past month or two, went out on my own for a bit." Looking down at her paws nervously, it seemed so weird talking to antoher dog and her words came together slightly choppy, more unsure of what to say that sounded right. Rose had been silent for a long time and was still not too much of a talker only answering and asking what needed to be said.
